Meet Summer Skye
Inland Northwest Photographer
Welcome y'all and thanks for joining me!
I've lived in five different states and taken many forms throughout my life, but photography has been a big part through it all. While I could go on about all the different hats I wear (mom, music therapist, children's book author/illustrator, mountain climber, former opera singer...). I'll keep things simple: I am a creative wanderer that has deep passion for artistry and humanity.
If you want to get a better sense of what working with me (as a photographer!) will look/feel like, check out my session pages and read through the list below.
Let's tell your story together!
We're a good fit if...
You're an outdoor enthusiast...
Most of my sessions will require some comfort with the elements. Being prepared for weather, navigating various terrain, and oftentimes walking a little way to access certain sites is typical. I'll work with you to ensure locations are accessible for your needs, but you can generally expect me to request you wear appropriate footwear.
You don't care about perfection...
I'm here to show all the parts of your life; showcasing you as you are. Is someone in a mood or refusing to go anywhere without their beloved stuffie? All the better! Those are some of the very realities I think we should be capturing. I'm not here to make you picture-perfect, but real.
Additionally, I'm not one for over-editing or retouching. I think our perceived 'flaws' are what make us beautiful. If you want me to take out your double-chin or make sure your hair is perfectly smooth you'll have to find someone else.
You're camera shy..
One of my biggest prompts is to do anything but look at the camera! I want you interacting with your surroundings. Treat me like a fly on the wall!
You're not sure you're welcome here...
Any and all kinds of people and families are included here. I aim to be a safe space that honors marginalized peoples.
